Step 1 – At the
start of a shift, a worker presses a pre-programmed
speed-dial
(I’m OK) on their
cell phone. The user will be prompted to leave a
voice message
indicating their destination and report any special risk
conditions.
Step 2 – upon
reaching the destination, the worker presses a second
speed-dial
(Entry) which sets a timer for a short period of time
(i.e. 10 minutes).
The worker is given
10 minutes to enter the home and determine that
the situation is
stable.
Step 3 – The worker
presses the “I’M OK" speed dials again and
performs
their task.
Step 4 – Upon
completion of the task, the worker reports in again and
records
their next
destination.
Final Step – At the
end of Shift, the worker logs off.
