More and more health care services are being provided to patients who are at home. For the field worker who is working alone, entering people’s homes may be a dangerous situation, or traveling to and from job locations. To protect these workers, a second worker can be sent or the SafetyLine, Employee Safety Monitoring System can be used.

Across Canada there exists Safety Regulations that are designed to protect our Community Health Care Workers from the dangers associated with Working Alone, in particular Violence in the Workplace.

These worker’s Workplace are private homes in the community. If a community health worker gets into a dangerous situation, in a remote location, how can they ensure that help will be sent?

Tsunami Solutions Ltd. has developed the SafetyLine Lone Worker Monitoring service specifically to help employers provide an effective yet reasonably priced solution to the Lone Worker Problem.

What if the Worker is attacked or in an accident?

Pressing a panic button will send assistance notification immediately.

What if he/she can’t signal a Panic?

With the "Check-In" functionality, the SafetyLine timer function (entry timer of 10 minutes) will automatically signal an Emergency if not cancelled (pressing the I’M OK button) before the expiration.

Monitor
Monitors will be notified instantly of an Emergency. They will have access to all pertinent information (location, history, reports, patient info, etc...) and can listen to voice recordings.
Based upon the information, the monitor will dispatch appropriate Emergency staff (i.e. Police, Fire, Ambulance, etc.).

Location-Based Service (L.B.S):
Safetyline Health & Homecare will retrieve the exact GPS coordinates and display a detailed satellite map, showing the exact location of the worker.

Check-In Monitoring:
Safetyline Health & Homecare will require Workers to check-in to the system on regular intervals. Check-In intervals are flexible on-the-go for the changing needs of feild Healthcare workers. If a Worker misses a check-in, then notification and action will occur.
